What types of work spaces/environments are most likely to inspire creative thinking?
Answers
I worked in one environment that had offices on the outside and middle height cubes in the center. This layout helps those that like to create independently, as well as those that create by playing off each other. But the most successful environments are those that ensure high employee satisfaction, regardless of the brick and mortar. If your employees are happy, you will be amazed at what they can create/achieve.
I agree with Regis. Happy employees are productive employees. While a cleaner environment is better than not, I have worked in very drab offices, but with a company mantra of "go for it" and productivity and employee morale was extremely high (unfortunately salaries were not).
This job was the major building block in the creation of my knowledge base as far as being a businessperson is concerned.
