In our post closing department, sometimes a document comes in that is missing either a Loan Officer or an Underwriter's signature on a document. The shipping specialist signs the LO or UW name to complete the package. Is this legal or does there need to be legal documents stating the Shipping Specialist has the authority to sign these documents on behalf of the LO or UW?
What kind of authority is needed to sign a signature on behlaf of some one else?
Answers
Either the Corporation has provided the Shipping Specialist with the power to sign on behalf or the LO or UW provided a Power of Attorney (which I highly doubt).
Sounds like you have some major compliance issues...

Additionally, do the LO and UW work for the same employer as the Shipping Specialist?
