I am a firm believer in that your greatest professional success often is a direct result of failures or advice not taken to take a certain direction. It is that time of year, so as I look back on 2014 I realized my biggest mistake has opened up many opportunities for me in 2015.
I was not communicating well with my CPA, and let's just say that we "had words". The argument got "personal" which you should never let happen with any business colleague. As we had words I realized just how much we had in common in our businesses and personal lives, and we actually became friends just a few weeks after that exchange. My improved relationship has opened doors for me to become an equity owner in multiple businesses in addition to driving new revenue for my main company.
What mistake did you make in 2014 has proven most valuable to you?
