What is the best bookkeeping certification?

I was asked what the best bookkeeping certification is. I see there is a National Association of Certified Bookkeepers, as well as a National Bookkeepers Assoc. and several other trade organizations that offer certification. Is one better known or more respected? This would be for someone who is not a CPA and is currently completing a degree. Thanks!
