I would like to start teaching college accounting part time. I'm a CPA with a masters in accounting, so according to some job postings I have the minimum requirements to be considered, even though I have no teaching experience. I would like to self-prepare for becoming an educator and wonder what resources are out there to help late career, experienced accountants make the switch? TIA! :)
Transition to College Teaching

While there are state requirements for holding a teaching credential for high school educators, there is zip in most states for college educators. As a result, there is a wide range of success/failure in the effectiveness of the teachers coming from industry. I suggest you seek out friends who are high school teachers and get tips on classroom management, grading, etc.
