In the last several weeks I've received several with e-mails and phone calls from different companies trying to sell me their wares. What I don't understand is why I or for that matter anyone else would buy from a company and/or their sales representative that starts a conversation with a bold-face, quantifiable lie. Some of my favorites is "I tried reaching you earlier by phone" when you didn't or calling and asking for me by name; then talking to me as if we know each other. Both are untruths and I normally either hang up or send the CEO an email telling them how their subordinates are ruining their brand. What's your opinion?
