Many firms use or receive inventory from a 3PL (Third Party Logistics provider). Reason's for using them are many, from cost of the warehouse rent to labor and beyond, using a 3PL can save time and money. But along with your upside, there must be a downside. Why not list both?
3PL (Third Party Logistics), what are the major issues you find with your provider

We tried a Vendor Managed Inventory model once but were not thrilled with how it went mainly because they didn't carry everything we needed so we still had to buy from other vendors and having multiple locations we balance transfer between stores rather than order when items sit for too long at one store but may be selling better at another store. They couldn't handle this either. However as a caveat we feel the person handling our account may not have been the best fit and we do plan to revisit this with another vendor in the 2015 year.
