What's the best way to use multiple email accounts?
Answers
Irv, I hate to use the following - "It depends" - but it is the best answer. I have a similar situation and since I use an iPhone, my method is to just create a separate mail account on my iPhone for each of the different email accounts. I receive each email into a separate Inbox and when I reply, I ensure that the response is sent from that same account. Alternatively, I have an iMac and use the "Mail" program in Lion and set up the individual accounts accordingly. Again I reply to emails from the same Inbox I receive them.

I like J.D.'s comment because it will also help keep you organized. The only other option I have if you don't like that one is we use Gmail for everything and we have two work emails but one just forwards into the Gmail account. You can set up multiple emails to forward into Gmail and there is a drop down menu that will let you choose which email you want your reply to come from. This may work as an alternate and it works the same on my iPad.
The easiest is to just use Outlook. When you are sending an email, at the very top you see a "From" which is your primary email account for a new email or if replying, the email account that the originating mail was sent to. That "From" has a drop down arrow. If you click that arrow all your email accounts are displayed so you can pick which one to use.
