What is the trigger for suggested imbalance (e.g. not representative of the labor market availability, benchmarks with similarly situated companies having more balance, negative business impact in terms of servicing customers effectively etc.) ? I have worked in organizations where there were initiatives to make the workforce more diverse (which is broader definition that just gender) in order to better align with customers' demographics which in turn leads to better servicing and ultimately understanding their anticipated "needs for new products & services" positively impact the business growth.
