Many carriers line their pockets with inappropriate FSC they charge unsuspecting clients. Are you one of the unsuspecting clients getting hosed by your freight carrier? If you have more than one carrier, it is likely that you are overpaying FSC to one of them. A confidential and discrete conversation can show you where you might be overpaying.
Do the Fuel Surcharges you pay create a profit center for your carriers? Or are they covering costs of fuel and nothing more?

I am curious as to what data you are basing this on. Do you have inside info from a carrier or multiple carriers that over time they are consistently padding their fuel surcharge?

Are multiple carriers consistently padding their fuel surcharge?
I was in a room where a company actually declared this was their brilliant idea for growing revenue since it would be plausible and accepted by many of their customers.
Do carriers take in more money in fuel surcharges than actually are required by their fuel costs? Absolutely. Most companies we visit are under fuel surcharges that are reduced after a thorough analysis is run.
