We did not either; we have the approved holiday's listed in the policy manual and the day after a holiday I would think should be a PTO day if they want to take it off. I do however give them the option; if they would rather work the holiday and take the next day off they could do that.

As a wholesaler, it was in line with our agents, business would have been very slow. Also, many employees would have tried to schedule the day off to have a long weekend. This way everyone received a long weekend / mini vacation.
