I was reading an article called Intellectually Curious: The Secret to One
Challenging Your Leadership Development

I know Christy from my time at AFP, she is a great leader. After speaking with her for five minutes you can tell that she is successful and get a sense of why. I have found that effective leaders are also great team players, even CEOs need to be team players,. That bodes very well with their direct reports and down the corporate ladder. CEOs, try this one, be a team player on a non C-Suite level project, you can say your time is too valuable, but what is more valuable than developing and engaging world class talent?
I love reading about servant leadership. If people like Christie and Christy help just just one person it's great and worth the time to write, but I'm afraid that many of the bad leaders don't take the time to read to/or improve. So, servant leaders end up preaching to the choir. I think what we need to figure out is how to get good leaders to influence the bad.
