You have been unemployed for 15 years and you are NOT going to include the most recent employment (not going to touch, at least for this response, whether that is a good idea or not OR even the appropriateness of the employer practice asking for the W2) What W2 are they going to ask for? The one from 15 years ago?
Providing a W2 to a prospective employer more than likely violates your confidentiality agreement with any prior employers. There is only one reason a prospective employers asks for a W2, to use it to pay you based on your last salary, not on what the new job is worth.
I would never go to work for a company that asked me for a copy of W2s from prior employers.
