The title and the cover speaks to me, but not sure if its worthwhile buying or it just scrapes the surface
Has anyone read "Bean Soup - Beyond Bean Counting"?

Hi Anders, The book is getting a bit of traction in this part of the world (Australasia) and a few to the USA. The following two articles will give even more insight than the web-site:

I think the book is great but then again I wrote it.
If you'd like a copy you can get it through www.thebeansoupbook.com. If you get it, have a look through it and think it's rubbish then send it back and I'll reimburse you. And that goes for anyone.
Thanks,
Stuart
Thank you Stuart. I might just do that!
I think the topic in general is gaining a lot of traction and as a side-note we have within my team been working on the strategy "From Beancounters To Business Partners" for the past 1.5 years and it is really proving to be a success.
I must say that this is a very nice thread in terms of topical area. I'm going to download the first chapter which is available on www.thebeansoupbook.com and will let you know if I decide to get the book.

What I have done with Bean Soup is focus on the training and who it would work best for small to medium sized organisations - i.e. those organisations that may not have the resource or time to do what large corporates have done. Including as a story was to assist with providing meaningful illustrations.
Thanks
Hi Stuart - finished reading the first chapter. I want a hard copy and got as far as checkout. Do you have a promo code we can use?
Hi Ken,
The promo code cell is part of the standard Wordpress template for linking through to PayPal. Please ignore it.
Thanks a lot for the interest in the book.

For those interested I've another article in the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants magazine. This is the first of three.

Hi Stuart,
After giving it some thought (reading the first chapter as well as your article) I am not sure it will enhance my knowledge of the topic at this stage. However there are many finance professionals out there (especially traditional accountants) who could find the book very useful.
Brgds,
