Accounting Salary Guide - What's Average For Your Area?
Answers
I've found a good, free resource is Robert Half's Accounting Salary Guide. You can download it free, it lists all categories of accounting, and it gives guidance on how to adjust for geographic location.
Check out roberthalf.com they have a good acctg/fin salary guide.
If you are looking for geographic specific data and a target pay rate versus a "range" you likely need to pay for the data. There are some free data that can give you a baseline although not exactly what you need. Surveys can range from $200-$500 (or more depending on the survey house) range or a subscription based product could start as low as $929 for the year. Check out www.erieri.com as a starting point.
Thanks for the resources. I'll check them out. I'm also interested in real-life individual actual experience. I could also easily be interested in relocating.
On a separate note, I often wonder about the spread between cost of living expenses for an area and the regional differences in income. Maybe everything everywhere is proportional.
